Are you an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy ready to take the next step in your career?
At Edison Young People we believe every child deserves a safe, stable, and loving environment. We're looking for a passionate and experienced leader to manage our 4-bed children's home located in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, within the Belvoir Castle Estate.

We create memories and experiences for our children that last a lifetime; where they feel truly loved, cared for, safe and secure.

⭐ About the Role:

As Registered Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team supporting young people aged 12–15, including a sibling group of three, all currently residing in the home. Your leadership will help shape lives and create a nurturing, family-style environment.

? Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team to provide high-quality, therapeutic care
  • Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards
  • Oversee safeguarding, compliance, rota planning and staff development
  • Provide hands-on support to children with emotional and behavioural needs
  • Build strong relationships with external professionals and local authorities

? About You:

We’re looking for someone who is both caring and capable — a leader who can create a stable, supportive home environment.

You’ll need:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy in a children’s home
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or happy to enrol onto qualification)
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience supporting children with trauma, attachment issues and challenging behaviour
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • A calm, resilient, and compassionate personality – with a good sense of humour!

? What We Offer:

  • £50,000 – £60,000 (based on experience)
  • Performance-based bonus scheme
  • Private medical insurance
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension contributions
  • Free meals on shift
  • Blue Light Card – fully funded
  • Health cashback scheme (dental, optical, physio)
  • Healthshield Employee Assistance Programme
  • Refer-a-friend bonus scheme
  • Support from our in-house YPMATS therapeutic team
  • A beautiful, well-resourced home environment

? Why Join Us?

No two days are the same – and that’s what makes this role so rewarding. From school runs and life skills coaching to sharing breakfast or offering a listening ear, you'll be helping to create memories, security, and better futures for young people who need it most.

We’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
All offers are subject to enhanced DBS checks and references in line with Safer Recruitment standards.
